remington web 2The Idaho Chapter is pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring a scholarship once again for a youth to attend the Idaho Conservation Officer's Association Youth Camp. This years camp will be held August 11-15, 2014, at the Trinity Pines Camp and Conference Center in Cascade, ID. Youth camp activities include a range day complete with rimfire, centerfire, and muzzleloaders, a challenge course, wildlife id, fishing techniques, introduction to archery, introduction to trapping, and a Payette River float trip! Campers who successfully complete the course will receive their hunter's ed card. This years lucky recipient will also receive a "Which would you rather hear" BHA t-shirt. The ICOA Youth Camp is open to children that are 10-12 years old on August 11, 2014. The scholarship winner will be responsible for transportation to and from camp. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants will need to submit a short essay (1 page maximum) on why they would like to attend the camp by June 15, 2014. The winner will be announced June 20. This is a great opportunity for children to interact with Idaho's Conservation Officers in a positive setting and engage in a variety of outdoor based activities. Please email application essays to: derrickreeves41(at)gmail.com.
