Friend —
It's been a cold few days here in Missoula, but our chapters have been red hot this past month!
It bears repeating: BHA chapters across North America are doing incredible work as they advocate for public lands and waters - and public access - everywhere we have a presence on the ground. That lies at the heart of who we are as an organization: making sure that we have access to great places to hunt and fish...and the quality fish and wildlife habitat when we get there.
That's what our chapters have been doing during these first weeks of 2022. From Rhode Island's work to halt high-fence hunting and West Virginia's battle to stop OHVs from encroaching on public hunting and fishing lands to Arizona's fight against bad legislation hampering conservation...and that's just a small sampling...we are united in our work on the front lines of conservation.
What's more, in just a few short months we will be celebrating your work right here in Missoula, Montana, at BHA's North American Rendezvous!
I'm counting down the days until Rendezvous, May 12-14, when we will be celebrating our public lands and waters - and all of you - with friendships renewed, stories around the campfire, wild game cookoffs, learning clinics for new skills and more.
I can't wait to see you all here and celebrate our collective victories and plot and scheme the next.
Onward and upward,
Land Tawney President & CEO
