NorCal AFI is hosting a dual skills turkey camp. Come learn not only how to hunt turkeys in the Stanislaus National Forest in Northern California but why to hunt and how hunting and hunters play a pivotal role in the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation.
This is a dual skills camp where attendees will be mentored through a hunting experience from the planning phase through the post-harvest meal prep. BHA Mentors will host attendees in the field talking through the ins and outs of turkey hunting.
Attendees can expect to learn:
turkey habitat
turkey habits
e-scouting with OnX
turkey calling and set ups
use of decoys
shot placement
how to clean and process a wild turkey
history of public lands and waters
The North American model of wildlife conservation

Who can attend:
- This event is open to all members of the military community
(Active duty, Reserves, National Guard, Veterans, and Gold Star families)
- You do not need to be a BHA member to attend
(but we sure would appreciate it if you were)
