Muster in the Mountains 2021

New York BHA
/ Categories: Media, Chapter News

Muster_Strip_for_Blog_Page.jpgMuster in the Mountains began in 2019 in Pennsylvania. Canceled by the events of 2020, BHA is glad to bring this eastern gathering back for 2021! This time our site host is Mike Barcone and his crew of merry beermakers at West Kill Brewing. Set on a wooded hillside above its namesake West Kill (creek in Dutch), and on the edge of the Hunter-West Kill Wilderness, the sprawling brewery grounds and the adjoining forests and fields will be the setting for our weekend of outdoor events.

If you’ve never been to a BHA event, you can expect to join up with staff, chapter leaders, members, partners and other public land owners to celebrate public lands and our hunting and fishing heritage with the usual BHA mix of comradery, competition, education, entertainment and good food and drink in a festival setting.

We are passionate hunters and anglers who are glad to welcome all and share ideas and knowledge.

Things kick off the evening of Friday, July 16 with a Conservation Dinner and Auction featuring New York made cocktails, delicious food cooked in a primitive style and the very best of company.

The main Muster happens Saturday, July 17 on the West Kill Brewing grounds and will last until the stars come out.

This is a family-friendly event, so bring the whole clan, including well-behaved dogs (who must be leashed at all times.) We’ll have a few organized things for youngsters, but there is a creek and a lot of woods, so we have everything they need already.

BHA President and CEO Land Tawney will be in attendance. Come meet Land and talk conservation or just ask him to eat a bug.
