ATLANTA — On April 4, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed the No Net Loss bill, which amended Georgia law in order to prevent any net loss of acreage available for hunting on state-owned land managed by the Department of Natural Resources. Just north of Riverside Washington, over 300 mule deer per year are killed in vehicle strikes along a 12 mile stretch of Highway 97. Thanks in part to the Washington Chapter of BHA, that number is falling and soon to be lower yet.
