Announcing the NC BHA Mountains Region event of the 2023 Trashy Squirrel Hunt! Join us in the Sandy Mush Game Lands on Saturday, February 4, for some fun! We will be finding some of these tasty tree dwelling treats and help clean up a beautiful public game land at the same time. Points are awarded for number of squirrels bagged combined with amount of trash collected. Our Southern Mountains Team is competing against other districts around the state for bragging rights and a truly outstanding squirrel trophy.
We’ll meet at 8:00 am and then hunt tree rats and trash until noon. Bring some chili or other tailgate food for a group lunch on-location after the event.
