Oklahoma Wildgame Cook-Off at G&H Decoys

  The Oklahoma chapter hosted its first wild game cook-off at G&H Decoys in Henryetta. The contest featured three categories of dishes, It Walks, It Flies, It Swims. Cooler temps, wind, and a drizzle challenged the contestants and their cooking abilities but regardless of the weather, the savory aroma in the air could not be denied as dish after dish came together. BHA Partners with BLM to Improve Riverine Habitat & Fisheries in CA

Volunteers from all over California convened last weekend to work on wildlife-friendly fencing along the South Fork of the Kern River in order to improve riverine habitat for deer, turkey and upland game. After a hard day's work, volunteers hit the river and found shady pools and hungry fish in an effort to provide valuable fisheries data to the Bureau of Land Management. Tell the EPA to Protect Bristol Bay Permanently

For decades, the Pebble Mine has loomed over Alaska’s Bristol Bay, threatening fish, wildlife, and the people that call this watershed home. OH Chapter Update

The Ohio Chapter has been doing great work with completing their strategic plan and now looking to advance their impact throughout the great state. These folks are active outdoors enthusiasts and excellent conservationists!  The chapter was assisting with rerouting sections of the Archers Fork Trail in the Wayne National Forest Marietta Unit on April 2nd. KY Chapter Update

MI Chapter Update

The MI Chapter has been busy this spring with planning and hosting some great events. On April 30th they hosted Field Trauma and Triage Clinic for Bird Dogs at Jay’s Sporting Goods. Over 30 participants showed for this event where they learned proper care and handling for their field companions. “Bulls for Billionaires.” Are Montana’s 454 Permits a Step Toward Privatizing the State’s Elk Herd?

UT BHA Appointed to Elk Management Plan Committee
