Join Texas BHA at Anahuac (Jocelyn Nungaray) National Wildlife Refuge for a Trail & Blind Maintenance Day on Saturday, October 17th!
Duck season is right around the corner, and we need your help getting Anahuac ready. We'll be clearing a paddling trail into a hunting spot and doing maintenance on the refuge's handicap-accessible hunting blind, helping make this incredible public land easier to reach for every hunter, whatever their ability.
π₯ͺ Lunch: Provided for all volunteers!
What to Bring:
- Work gloves (limited pairs available)
- Waders and/or hip boots
- Pruners/loppers, hand tools, or a hand saw (if you have them)
- Canoe or kayak (optional, but helpful for the trail work!)
- Water
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- Weather-appropriate gear
Whether you're a seasoned duck hunter, a paddler, or just someone who wants to give back to public land, there's a job for you. No experience needed. Come get your hands dirty, meet fellow sportsmen and women, and make a real impact before opening day.
Texas BHA is proud to support local accessibility efforts by commiting up to $300 in supplies to brush in the handicap blind. This is jsut another way that TX BHA is helping hunters acoss Texas.
This event is free to attend and open to the public, so invite your friends and familiesto join and give back to our public lands. This is your public land. Let's take care of it together.
Please RSVP and sign the Safety Wavier to confirm attendance and help us plan for lunch.
