Trashy Cat – Rockford Lake Cleanup & Catfishing

Where: Rockford Lake State Recreation Area, 29988 S. 108 Rd. Beatrice, NE 68310
Join us for Trashy Cat at Rockford Lake—an evening dedicated to giving back to one of our local state recreation areas before enjoying some time on the water. We'll meet at 5:00 PM at the beach area to clean up litter around the lake and surrounding shoreline. Whether you're an angler, hunter, paddler, or simply someone who enjoys clean public spaces, your help makes a difference. Trash bags and gloves will be available, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
After the cleanup, we'll reward our efforts by staying to fish for catfish and enjoy an evening outdoors with fellow conservation-minded sportsmen and women.
What to Bring:
-Weather-appropriate clothing
-Comfortable shoes or boots
-Gloves (optional)
-Fishing gear if you plan to stay and fish (a valid Nebraska fishing permit if you intend to fish)
This event is open to everyone—bring your family, invite a friend, and help us leave Rockford Lake better than we found it. Together we can make a lasting impact while enjoying everything Nebraska's public waters have to offer.
Come lend a hand, meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts, and stick around afterward to chase a few catfish!
