NC BHA Volunteer Habitat Workday at Fort Bragg – August 22, 2026
Join the North Carolina Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers as we partner with the Fort Bragg Wildlife Branch to improve wildlife habitat and support military training. We'll be clearing scrub pine from a 40-acre multi-use training area, helping create safer, more usable training grounds for the soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division while restoring valuable habitat for small game species like rabbits and quail. This is a great opportunity to give back, improve public hunting habitat, and spend a day working alongside fellow conservationists.
Date: Saturday, August 22, 2026
Location: 35.22218, -78.98432
Important Access Information:
This project does not require access to the main installation. The work site is located outside the secured portion of Fort Bragg, so you do not need a military ID or base access to participate. However, all participants must have a Fort Bragg Sportsman account before the event. Creating an account is free and is also one of the first steps for anyone interested in hunting on Fort Bragg. The program is open to the public—you do not need to be affiliated with the military.
