Join us on September 26th, National Public Lands Day, from Noon to 6pm at Terrapin Beer Company in Athens, GA to celebrate our Public Lands, Waters, and Wild Places with an exceptional event, “Tailgates & Trailheads”!! That afternoon, the University of Georgia takes on Oklahoma State, and we want to bring you awesome pre-game experience alongside like-minded folks that also share a passion for the outdoors and of course, college football!

This day will be all about celebrating rich Georgia and Athens traditions of the great outdoors, music, like-minded people, quality beer, and an all out great time! We’re very excited to be partnering with Terrapin Beer Company to host this event and we have quite the day planned!

LIVE MUSIC

Oh yea, we’re bringing some Athens natives to the stage for supreme afternoon entertainment! Get ready to catch two great bands as they bring their passion for music to the event!

We’re starting off with Grassland, an Athens band that has an authentic Americana sound and brings fantastic stage presence and energy! They have some amazing music out and we can’t wait to see them take the stage! CLICK HERE to check them out!

Catt McCreary will follow them up with some great country music! Catt is an indpendent country artist with Georgia grit, Appalachian heart, and a voice made for real storytelling. Raised in Athens, GA, Catt grew up with Southern values and a deep love of country music. A multi-instrumentalist and self-producing songwriter, her music blends heartfelt lyrics, modern edge, and classic country polish. With her upcoming project in 2026, she's carving out her own space in today's country scene as a modern country classic! CLICK HERE to check out her music!
