Join the Illinois chapter of BHA at Lake Shelbyville Archery Park at the Opossum Creek Recreation Area for the Backcountry Conservation Classic- 2nd Annual 3D Archery Shoot. Come shoot the course for FREE or just walk the trail and learn about the natural ecosystem of Central Illinois, meet ILBHA, local conservation organizations, and Xpedition Archery!

The Lake Shelbyville Archery Park was created by Backcountry Hunters & Anglers in partnership with the US Army Corp of Engineers and was designed in order to offer a free place to shoot archery on public lands in central Illinois. No membership is required, but donations are appreciated. the Lake Shelbyville Archery Park is managed and maintained by volunteers and funded by voluntary donations. 

Lunch provided with a donation, raffles contests and prizes onsite!

Free camping available at Opossum Creek Rec Area (first come, first served). Nearby campgrounds can be reserved.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE

🎸 Friday, May 8: 6PM- 10PM: We'll be kicking off the weekend with great food, live music, and special prizes at Rosie & Irl's Smokehouse Saloon in Findlay, IL.

🏹 Saturday, May 9: 10AM–4PM – Archery Event. Come shoot the Course, meet representatives from IL BHA, the outdoor industry, and other conservation partners.
