Curious about hunting, fishing, or spending more time outdoors but not sure where to start? Join Backcountry Hunters & Anglers Georgia Chapter for Pints & Public Lands, a beginner-friendly workshop series designed to help you take your first steps into the outdoors.
Each event focuses on a new topic (e.g., getting started with hunting in Georgia, basic fishing skills, public land access, gear essentials, and more), with a short, practical presentation followed by Q&A and time to connect with other newcomers and experienced mentors.
We’ll kick off the series with a practical guide to accessing public lands—where to go, how to get there, and what you need to know before you step foot on them.
Who this is for: Anyone new (or newer) to hunting, fishing, conservation, or public lands. No prior experience needed.
Schedule:
6:00–7:00 PM – Arrival, grab a drink, meet & mingle 7:00–8:00 PM – Workshop presentation 8:00–9:00 PM – Q&A + networking
What to bring: Just yourself and your questions. Optional: notebook or phone for notes.
