Step into the wild and remote heart of Arctic Alaska for an evening of storytelling, adventure, and connection.
Join Alaska Backcountry Hunters & Anglers for a special Brooks Range storytelling night featuring BHA board member Barry Whitehill, sharing firsthand stories from a float trip down the legendary Killik River... One of the most remote and breathtaking rivers in Alaska.
Flowing out of Gates of the Arctic National Park and winding north through a vast tundra landscape, the Killik offers a true wilderness experience—multi-day floats through glacial valleys, braided river channels, and prime caribou country.
Barry will take you along for the journey—navigating remote terrain, reading the river, and hunting caribou in one of the last truly wild places on earth. Expect stories of adventure, challenge, and the kind of experiences that only Alaska can offer.
π» Grab a pint from Black Spruce and settle in for a night of:
• Backcountry storytelling from the Brooks Range
• Insights into floating and hunting the Killik River
• Connection with Fairbanks’ hunting & conservation community
Whether you’ve floated Arctic rivers or just dream about it, this is a night you won’t want to miss.
