Join Kentucky Backcountry Hunters & Anglers for an engaging pint night at 3rd Turn Brewing in Jeffersontown. This event will focus on the beauty and importance of native grasses. This laid-back evening will dive into how native grasslands support wildlife, improve soil health, and play a critical role in conserving Kentucky’s wild places. Regional biologist Bryan Cobban from Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources will be leading the discussion along with Charlie Zwischenberger from Lewis Seed Co who will be discussing implementation tactics.
Whether you’re a landowner, hunter, public land enthusiast or simply someone who enjoys the outdoors, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for these often-overlooked ecosystems and how they contribute to healthier habitats across the state. There will also be free seed packets available at this event, courtesy of Lewis Seed Company! Come grab a pint, connect with fellow conservationists, and learn practical ways to support native grasses on the landscape—from small backyard efforts to larger-scale habitat restoration. This event is perfect for anyone interested in conservation, wildlife, and preserving our outdoor heritage, all while enjoying good company and great local beer. This will be a casual, fun way to meet fellow hunters and anglers, swap stories and learn about BHA and our mission to conserve public lands and waters.
BHA members advocate for public hunting and fishing and we work to maintain and improve access to places to hunt and fish. We also speak up for wildlife, guided by the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. Finally, we believe in and advocate for fair chase in pursuit of fish and game. If those ideals resonate with you, please come join us to learn more and maybe become part of BHA. This event is open to all and we encourage you to invite all your friends also.
