Join Us for Invasive Species Control on the Presque Isle River Watershed: Yoopers vs Cheeseheads! The Michigan Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is teaming up with Ottawa National Forest staff to tackle invasive honeysuckle near Marenisco, MI. How to join: • June 4 – Prep Day: Help BHA leaders and Ottawa National Forest staff identify and plan for invasive species removal. Everyone is welcome to join if you can! • June 6 – Weekend Work Day: Yoopers vs Cheeseheads! Which chapter will have a better showing? Either way, the habitat wins. Help us remove invasives and restore the watershed. Yoopers vs Cheeseheads: Wisconsin BHA members, this is only 10 miles over the WI border and on a Saturday. The WI board thinks it can get more Cheeseheads to show up than Yoopers. Ready to find out? There are National Forest campgrounds nearby, plus trout streams and fishing lakes, so make a weekend of it! Protect wild places, have fun, and may the best chapter win.
Be sure to RSVP so that we know you're coming! See ya there!
