We are hosting a workday in partnership with IN DNR at Atterbury FWA. Come get your hands dirty and make an impact at your local FWA! We will be removing exotic invasive plants and improving the wildlife habitat. We will be working outside, on uneven terrain with moderate to strenuous activities including cutting, digging, and piling brush. Some adult volunteers may be helping with chemical treatment of cut brush to prevent regrowth. Volunteers are asked to wear closed-toed shoes, long pants and sleeves, work gloves, and eye protection if possible. Please bring hand tools such as loppers and pruning saws for cutting stems and sturdy shovels for removing root structures.
Plan to arrive promptly at 9am (or before) at HQ, then volunteers and staff will caravan to the work site. Paved parking is available on site at HQ.
