Brandenburg! Come join the Kentucky Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers on Saturday, March 7th starting at noon at River Forge Brewery for a fun afternoon of drinks, food, stories and tons of conservation talk! This event will be happening at the conclusion of our “Operation Hellbender” event at the Meade County Extension Office which starts at 9am (CLICK HERE for information on the morning event) What better way to celebrate after helping Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources build some hellbender traps than enjoying a nice local brew and some great food!
If you’re not familiar, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is a grassroots conservation organization that seeks to ensure North America's outdoor heritage of hunting and fishing in a natural setting, through education and work on behalf of wild public lands, waters, and wildlife. We work closely with KDFWR to help them manage and monitor our public lands, waters and wildlife. If any of this speaks to you, we strongly encourage you to grab a chair at the table and come talk with us. You don’t have to be a member to join us for this event. This will be a casual, fun way to meet fellow hunters and anglers, swap stories and learn about BHA and our mission to conserve public lands and waters. BHA members advocate for public hunting and fishing and we work to maintain and improve access to places to hunt and fish. We also speak up for wildlife, guided by the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. Finally, we believe in and advocate for fair chase in pursuit of fish and game. We hope to see you there!
