Join Backcountry Hunters and Anglers for a hands-on fence pull at Valentine National Wildlife Refuge. Old, unnecessary fencing can be a real problem for wildlife. We will work to cut, roll, and remove sections of fence, leaving the landscape cleaner, safer, and more passable for wildlife and people.

Expect steady, physical work in uneven terrain and possible changing weather. 

What to bring: 

• Leather work gloves

• Eye protection 

• Sturdy boots 

• Long pants and long sleeves

• Hat, sunscreen, and insect protection

• Water and snacks

• Fencing pliers or lineman pliers

• Small hand saw or loppers for brush around fence lines

• Families and dogs are welcome.
