Come join us for a morning of squirrel hunting and habitat improvement at the Butner-Falls of Neuse Game Lands!
When: 2/21/26 8:00am-Noon
Where:Red Mill Road Public Fishing Area, Durham, NC, 27704.
This event is open to everyone, so feel free to bring friends and family. We will meet at the Red Mill Road Public Fishing Area Parking Lot (at the end of the turn-off from Red Mill Road) at 8:00 AM to go over a plan of attack over coffee and donuts. Trash in this area includes old tires and rusted out metal drums, so be sure to bring gloves, eye protection, and any other PPE you may need.
For those interested in maximizing hunting time, you are welcome to arrive early and hunt from legal shooting light until our group meet up at 8:00 AM, as well as after the trash cleanup concludes at noon. Anyone hunting must have an active hunting license, and must abide by all NC WRC hunting rules and regulations.
