CA BHA Backcountry Women's Pig Hunt 2025

What:  Backcountry Women's Pig Camp 

When:  Friday, November 7th, 2025 at noon to Sunday, November 9th, 2025 at 2pm 

Who:  This event is limited to no more than 10 women.  Please fill out the application at the link in the RSVP confirmation email 

Cost:  $75/person (includes a BHA membership and covers operational costs, campsite, and meal on the first night) 

Join us along California's Central Coast for our first women's hunting camp!  Whether you are brand new to hunting or experienced, this camp will be a great opportunity to learn more about pig hunting and develop relationships with other women hunters.  We will be camping at the Vandenberg Space Force Base.  This is not a guided event but one mentor per two participants will be available.  Space is limited to no more than ten persons.  Participants may either tent camp, sleep out of their vehicles, or reserve an RV site. 

Details-  

Participants will need the following: 

-hunting license and pig validation 

-Vandenberg hunting permit and account (will receive assistance should you be selected to participate in this event) 

-blaze orange hat and vest 

-rifle/ammo or bow/arrows 

-hunting pack 

-headlamp 

-camping gear 

-meals and snacks 

Recommended: 

-4WD vehicle 

-optics (binos/range finder) 

-shooting stick 

-field dressing/processing kit
