Join the Kentucky Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and Harvesting Nature on Tuesday, November 25th at 3rd Turn Brewing in J-town starting at 5pm for a one of a kind wild game potluck! Harvesting Nature is a passionate community of outdoor enthusiasts, hunters, anglers, foragers, and home cooks, making wild food accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Harvesting Nature has been a long time supporter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and we’re excited to partner with them for this event. This will be an excellent opportunity to come together and share stories from this most recent hunting season, meet new friends, learn more about conservation work happening in our area, and eat some incredible food paired with some of 3rd Turn’s incredible brews.
We encourage everyone to bring a dish if possible, but it’s not required. This is your chance to showcase your “world famous venison chili”, dove poppers, duck summer sausage, or whatever else it is that you love to make with your wild game harvest. Not to mention, you might be able to try some game meats you've never had the opportunity to before such as blackbear, antelope or Asian carp. We will have tables on site to stage your dishes along with some outlets to plug in crockpots if needed.
There will also be some awesome door prizes and raffle items at this event from Harvesting Nature and 3rd Turn Brewing. Everyone who attends the event will be entered for a chance to win an assortment of spices from Harvesting Nature! As if this couldn’t get any better, anyone who orders a drink at the bar will also automatically be entered into a raffle that is being sponsored by 3rd Turn Brewing. This raffle item will be a mystery box from 3rd turn that is specially curated for this event, so don’t miss out!
This will be a casual, fun way to meet fellow hunters and anglers, swap stories and learn about BHA and our mission to conserve public lands and waters. BHA members advocate for public hunting and fishing and we work to maintain and improve access to places to hunt and fish. We also speak up for wildlife, guided by the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. Finally, we believe in and advocate for fair chase in pursuit of fish and game. If those ideals resonate with you, please come join us to learn more and maybe become part of BHA. This event is open to all and we encourage you to invite all your friends also.
