The hottest event on ice is returning in 2026 to Breezy Point Resort!
The North Country Icebreaker is BHA's biggest gathering in the Midwest and a chance to share stories, tactics, recipes and fellowship. This unique event brings together dedicated hunters, anglers, conservationists, and BHA members from around the country, while introducing new people and nonmembers to these pursuits and helping us raise funds in the name of access and opportunities, which include landscape stewardship, political advocacy, and education.
Ice fishing is often taken for granted for the public access in offers. It is an incredible way to introduce fishing and experiencing parts of a lake that they otherwise couldn’t without a boat. Icebreaker will ignite the passion in anglers who have been at it for years and introduce new hard water anglers to our public waters.
We are thrilled to be bringing this event back to Breezy Point Resort on beautiful Pelican Lake, which presents a perfect backdrop for ice fishing, pike spearing, winter camping, seminars, the ever-popular Wild Game Cookoff Competition. Minnesota BHA's premier annual gathering will be a can't miss event for all public land owners (Psst..That's YOU!).
This event is open to members and non-members of BHA and inspire and educate the outdoor community as we get together and share stories, recipes, and tactics for the year ahead.

Lodging:
Discounted lodging is available through Breezy Point Resort for attendees. Lodging costs are in addition to ticket price. To book accommodations, reserve online or call Breezy Point Resort at (800)-432-3777 and reserve under the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers name. Lodging will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so help us out and book early!
