Friend —
I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving…earlier for those north of the border.
I have much to be thankful for. Over the break I got to spend time with my young family, including my 3-year-old energetic nephew – it’s a fun age, but exhausting. I smoked our bird and it turned out divine. On Sunday, I got out for the final day of general rifle season here in Montana and was fortunate to kill a 3 ½-year-old whitetail doe to go with my buck.

I’m super thankful for the public lands groceries that will feed my family and friends over the next year. I’m even more thankful for all of you who continue to step up for conservation. Hopefully, CWD legislation will move later this week, thanks to 3,800 of you who have sent messages in the last two weeks alone. (Take action now if you haven’t already.) One of our top priorities of protecting the Boundary Waters watershed has a chance too. (Speak up for the Boundary Waters here.)
A huge thank you to our Wyoming Chapter and the Missouri Four for being the catalyst to address corner crossing! This fight is far from over, but our collective education efforts on this important issue got a huge shot in the arm with this New York Times feature on Sunday that was infused with the energy of BHA volunteers and partners. (Sign our corner crossing pledge.) Team efforts all the way around. So again, lots to be thankful for.
As we head into the last month of 2022, I thank you for lending your time and talent…you are what makes BHA, BHA. I also ask you to think about sharing your hard-earned treasure. That can come in many forms: Help us meet out Project Aspen goals…just $20k out of $70,000 to go! Buy a gift membership or lifetime membership. Purchase some of our rad gear. Stuff someone’s stocking with Rendezvous tickets. While time and talent separate us from all other groups, treasure helps us do even more. Join me today in giving back to the public lands, waters and wildlife that give us so much!
Onward and Upward!
