Join BHA Wyoming and staff of the BLM Lander Field Office to construct and maintain Beaver dam analogs in the beautiful high desert of the Sweetwater Country.
A Beaver Dam Analog (BDA) is a man-made structure designed to mimic the form and function of a natural beaver dam. These projects improve water storage along the emerald veins of the prairie, in turn improving habitat for sage-grouse, mule deer, pronghorn antelope, and a whole host of other species.
Meet at the Lander BLM Office at 8:00AM. Wear Field appropriate clothing in preparation that all mother nature can throw at us. Volunteers should also pack a lunch and water.
