Fly Fishing Clinic With Washington AFI and Emerald Water Anglers
The Washington Armed Forces Initiative is teaming up with flyfishing guide and Army Veteran Matt Dahl from Emerald Water Anglers for an introductory fly fishing clinic.
Attendees will start off with an interactive presentation, where topics will include some basics of flyfishing, gear, casting, and fish entomology. We will then hit the creek to learn how to observe fish activity, search for their food source, and develop a plan to replicate that in a fishing presentation. All this will culminate in with rod in hand, and attendees putting the pieces together in an effort to connect with some fish!
Join us at Ron Regis Park in Renton, WA, July 15th for a full day clinic, kicking off at 8am.
Attendees should bring weather appropriate clothing. To note, this is a dry event in which lunch and drinks will be provided. This open to all Active Duty, Veteran, National Guard, and Reserve personnel.
