There's always fun to be had throughout the winter months which is why the Southeast BHA Chapter will be hosting a small game hunt on the Pearl River near Slidell, LA. Join us February 24 - 25 for a good hunt and trash cleanup on our public lands.
Primitive camping is available on Pearl River WMA located at Crawford Landing Road. Participants are welcome to set up and camp Friday evening. Saturday morning we will split up and head off into the woods in pursuit of squirrels, rabbits, and pigs. Both the Pearl River WMA and Bogue Chitto NWR offer walk-in access hunting approximately 15-20 minutes from the campground, and a public boat launch is available at Crawford Landing. Keep a trash bag handy for any trash found along the way. After the morning hunt, we’ll meet at the Pearl River WMA campground. We’ll be serving lunch, and feel free to contribute any of your favorite recipes! We’ll make a round of trash cleanup after lunch and end the day with an evening hunt.
