event_description: Volunteers are needed for fence removal and other habitat management projects at Sand Hills State Park outside of Hutchinson, Kansas.Sand Hills State Park has been preserved for its sand dunes, grasslands, wetlands, and woodlands, and allows for hunting, bird watching and trail access. KDWP has recently added acreage and is needing volunteers to assist in bringing this new acreage into public use.Volunteers may bring chainsaws and appropriate PPE, and all volunteers will need to bring their own gloves and eye protection.
