event_description: Join us for another Public Lands Pack Out – presented by OnX. This stewardship project will clean up habitat and the places we love to hunt and fish. We will be meeting at the Huichica Creek Unit of the Napa Sonoma Wildlife Area on Public Lands Day, September 23rd at 8:00am. Join us as we get our hands dirty, make new friends and help protect our beloved public lands. We will be focusing on the highest-traffic units: (1) Huichica Creek, (2) Green Island Unit, and (3) Pond 1/1A, N/S Tolay Creek. Plan is to meet at the Buchli Station Parking Area of the Huichica Creek unit (coordinates below). Once we have a sense of final numbers, we can decide whether to spread out across these units or focus efforts on one unit. We will have the BHA EZ Up to stage from, and CDFW will provide shovels, garbage tongs, and other equipment. Volunteers are responsible for bringing personal protective equipment (closed toe shoes, gardening gloves, hat, sunscreen, bug spray, water and snacks). We will also need to sign the attached CDFW Volunteer Services Form before heading out. We will plan to bring several forms, but if you can fill it out beforehand that would be ideal. The tentative schedule is 8am-12pm, and we are working on a couple of fun possibilities for a wrap up in the parking area (more details TBD). We hope to see you next weekend, and hope this is the first of many action days at NSMWA!
