Update: The event has been postponed due to the presence of a vulnerable population of bats utilizing the immediate area. We hope to reschedule as soon as we are able to.
Come join Vermont BHA and the local chapter of National Wild Turkey Federation to release apple trees that are being shaded out in the Plymsbury WMA. We’ll be working from 8am to 12pm, all are welcome even if you can’t join for the full duration. After the clearing is done we’ll gather in the parking area to grill hot dogs and burgers!
A large parking area is located adjacent to 477 Old Plymouth Ave, Shrewsbury VT. The gated trail to the apple trees has limited parking and is located approximately 0.5 miles down the road, we will shuttle folks from the larger parking area if needed. The apple trees are located approximately 0.5 miles from the gated trail head.
Please bring your own gloves and tools such as hand saws, pole saws, loppers and chainsaws. Chainsaw operators must have all appropriate PPE including chaps and head/eye/ear protection.
