It's that time of summer for Kentucky BHA's big Peabody WMA cleanup and this year, we're changing things up a bit! In addition to conducting our annual Peabody WMA cleanup project, we will be working at Harris-Dickerson WMA to build or erect wood duck nest boxes with the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife.
On August 12th, we will be meeting at the entrance to Harris-Dickerson at 9:00 am Central Time. Volunteers can choose to assist with either project, and we will divide and conquer to make an impact on both WMAs. This event has annually been our largest packout event. This is a great opportunity to be involved with some awesome conservation on Kentucky public lands!
Directions: From the Western Kentucky Parkway - taken exit 48 towards Graham, KY. Turn left onto Graham Cypress Rd for 0.4 miles, then right onto KY-175 North for 5.7 miles to KY-70 West. Turn left and drive 3.7 miles to the Harris-Dickerson entrance which will be on the right. We will have BHA signs out marking the route as well.
