The Armed Forces Initiative is the BHA program focused on creating conservationists within the military community. Our new CT AFI Liaison Nate Camp is hosting a Tenkara 101 workshop in the Catskills of New York.
Participants will learn the centuries old method of Tenkara; fixed line fly fishing in the backcountry. AFI and skilled volunteers will mentor attendees on small stream tactics and teach classes on Tenkara history, techniques and conservation. All Tenkara fly fishing equipment will be provided for this event. If you do not have waders, except to wet wade so have pants/shorts and shoes you do not mind getting wet.
