Q: What would you like to see less of at Rendezvous?
A: Honestly, the auctions and bidding…but I know that’s part of fundraising, so ignore my comment ;)

Q: What would you like to see more of at Rendezvous?
A: I liked the country map. It might be cool to also have a larger map of the home state that is hosting…but maybe not necessary.

Q: Campfire Stories
• What did we do well?
• What needs to be improved?
A: The stories were amazing! I recommend splitting the fundraising into three parts; keep the larger intermission in the middle, but it was a bit too long, so if we could have a short version 25% through the event and another short blip 75% through that might help keep people’s attention better. However, I don’t usually bid on the larger items, so my opinion may be irrelevant. If this format seemed to work for the large bidders, keep at it!

Q: Wild Game Cookoff
" What did we do well?
" What needs to be improved?
A: Since it was such a bigger event this year than last year, as attendees we weren’t able to see the food that was prepared. It would be great to get a projector with a camera showing the prepared plates during presentation and tasting! If recorded, maybe some clips could be used for something else, too? But if we are just able to see what is presented, even if it is a simple photo from a phone projected on to a screen while the chefs and judges are talking and tasting, that would help keep us more involved.

Q: Awards Luncheon
" What did we do well?
" What needs to be improved?
A: This year was much better than years past! The overview card at our table helped us follow along and stay informed, and the pace of the event kept moving along quickly to keep our attention. The food was decadent, filling, and delicious! I was surprised to see some empty seats (and food go to waste) when not everyone was able to attend the event. I also noticed that happen in 2016.

Q: Seminars
• What did we do well?
• What needs to be improved?
A: You guys always do a great job at getting a variety of speakers on lots of interesting topics! It is always hard to choose which ones to go to, and there is never a time block where there is nothing I want to hear. You guys always do a great job getting a variety of speakers on lots of interesting topics! It is always hard to choose which ones to go to, and there is never a time block where there is nothing I want to hear. Only drawback to that is that it’s very hard for me to find time to visit the vendors, especially when some of the seminars run late or are so packed that they start filling up early. Is there a time in the already-long-day to increase the time in between seminars? There may not be. Also, I always appreciate the Orion ethics panel! That has been an eye-opening experience for me every year, and I wish we could find a way to involve even more attendees! This year‘s group talks were great for challenging our out-of-the-box thinking, communicating with others, and coming to new solutions, and I have also appreciated the wisdom of our older members in a Q&A panel in the past.

Q: Brewfest
" What did we do well?
" What needs to be improved?
A: Brewfest is always great! If there is a way to get shorter lines that would be awesome so we could spend more time talking with fellow members…maybe a different set up would help? Maybe if we moved the one large center circle of kegs & servers into four smaller groups or servers, that might help the attendees to move around better. (I don’t think it’s the servers or the pouring that is a hold up; I think it is the movement of people struggling to get to the kegs and then trapped as they try to walk away that keeps the lines from moving as quickly). Again, just some ideas, maybe someone else has a better idea?

Q: Q & A with Directors & Board President
• What did we do well?
• What needs to be improved?
A: It was good! For those of us that are VERY involved, most of it was a recap. So if there is anything that BHA would like its members to hear directly from Land, this Q & A would be a good time for that.
