event_description: Michigan BHA Chapter leaders are collaborating with National Wild Turkey Federation to provide exciting and impactful training opportunities for adults that are interested in learning more about shooting sports and participating in nature.  Many Americans are looking to provide their families with healthy foods and knowing where your food comes from is very important. Numerous people are gravitating towards traditional methods of hunting and fishing to provide that connection to food resources.We have a great event for you!! If you are new to hunting or maybe just hunt-curious, join the Michigan Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers as we assist the NWTF for a Hunter Education Field Day on March 2nd at the Glassen Shooting Education Center and Rose Lake Shooting Range in Bath Twp. This class is intended for adult learners that are looking to learn more about participating in the outdoors. What to Expect:We will meet from 9 am to 3 pm and cover:All of the topics you need to know to hunt safely and effectively.Actual field shooting training and practice. An opportunity to talk about land management, conservation, and how hunting is part of our conservation model. What to bring:Bring a lunch Ear protection if you have it, but dont worry as extras will be availableWillingness to learn and participateUpon completion of this event, folks will feel more comfortable with handling and shooting firearms and how these tools can be utilized for hunting!
