Join us for a day of community service, adventure, and discovery at the Nanjemoy Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in southern Maryland, just before the eagerly anticipated Turkey season opener.
As stewards of our cherished public hunting lands, we're spearheading a "Pack Out" cleanup event to rejuvenate the Nanjemoy WMA, focusing on cleaning the areas most in need: near the water, parking lots, and along the roadsides - as well as noting maintenance needs for duck houses, shorelines, and invasive removal. This effort not only helps preserve the habitat for deer, squirrels, turkeys, and supports fishing activities but also safeguards the natural beauty of our public lands.
Attendees should bring:
- muck boots or hiking boots
- gloves
- trash bags
- water
When is it:
14 April 9AM-12PM
Where is it:
Nanjemoy WMA - Purse Area
10200 Riverside Rd.
