Join the Michigan BHA Chapter as we partner with MUCC, Ruffed Grouse Society, Northern Michigan Wildcats, and MI DNR for a fantastic stewardship day at the Garden Grade Grouse Enhancement Management Site (GEMS) in Delta County. Participants will assist in planting approximately 150 masting trees and shrubs in the GEMS location. The plantings will occur within openings that are being restored with native grasses that will also vastly increase habitat for a variety of species.
Providing crucial habitat through grassroots efforts is what BHA is all about. We are partnering with some awesome folks and great organizations that all want to make a difference for habitat on our shared public lands!
Upon arriving at the meeting place, we will sign in, learn about the project instructions, and then caravan to the work site which is around 5 minutes away. Please bring appropriate clothing, boots, and gloves. Don’t forget some water and a snack!
