Louisiana BHA members, mark your calendar for February 25th! The Southeast Chapter will host a small game hunt on Richard K. Yancy WMA and Kellers Lake Area. Join us for a good hunt and trash cleanup on our public lands.
Primitive camping is available at the Kellers Lake Area located off Bean Field Road at Highway 15. Participants are welcome to set up and camp Friday evening. Saturday morning we will split up and head off into the woods in pursuit of squirrels, rabbits, and pigs. Keep a trash bag handy for any trash found along the way.
After the morning hunt, we’ll meet back at the Kellers Lake Primitive Campground. We’ll be serving lunch, and feel free to contribute anything you would like. We’ll make a round of trash cleanup after lunch, and end the day with an evening hunt. There is ample hunting opportunities on both Kellers Lake and Richard Yancy WMA.
