Open to all Veterans / Active Military Personnel. Location of Hunt is Horsethief Reservoir, for a public land upland hunt. New hunters will be paired up with experienced ones.

TIME: Arrive at 6:30AM
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Kansas Hunting License
We will meet at Horsethief Reservoir 19005 SW, KS-156, Jetmore, KS 67854. Upon arrival we will do an introductions, sign waivers, conduct a safety brief, break up in to groups if needed and move to the fields.
You will need shotgun, ammo (recommended 2 ¾” #5 of #6) a KS hunting License, comfortable shoes/boots. Appropriate clothing for the weather (this is a rain or shine event). For safety, at least an orange hat and vest will be required.
We will be hunting wild birds on public lands so there is no guarantee of harvest. Since this event is on opening day we will be doing that public land shuffle so arriving on time is very important.
Lunch will be Provided by Horsethief Reservoir and Friends of Horsethief Reservoir
