Unfortunately, this Event has limited Space and is full. However, we are looking at making this a repeatable event in 2024 so please stay tuned for more opportunities.
The Armed Forces Initiative of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers is hosting 5 participants on a Sage Grouse event in Southern Idaho this October. While our Target is Dage grouse we will also have the opportunity at Hungarian partridge, sharptail grouse, and perhaps quail.
For this event, we will be truck camping with a few loaner tents available. All Food will be provided by AFi but feel free to bring any Snacks you prefer.
Participants will need:
Shotgun with nontoxic ammunition 5 or 6 shot preferred
Sleeping Bag rated for 15 degrees
Coffee cup
Plate and utensil
Boots for walking over uneven ground
Clothing suitable for 30-degree days with rain and snow possible
Blaze orange Hat and Vest
Water bottles (64 ounces)
