Idaho BHA donates $1000 and volunteer time to new archery range near Boise

The Idaho chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers recently donated $1,000 worth of supplies to help build a new 3D archery range near Boise.  The range will be located on the Boise River WMA and will be managed by Idaho Fish & Game.   The range will be open from May - November each year and will include 2 loop tracks with various high-quality 3D animal targets.  The Idaho chapter of BHA is gathering a group of volunteers to help with the range construction on April 20 and April 27.

The BHA volunteers will be helping with the following:  pouring cement pads for archery stands, hauling targets to locations, installing distance marker signs/posts, digging and placing station marker posts/bow hanger posts, installing buck and rail fencing around parking lot perimeter, placing perimeter marker signs, kiosk installation, and some limited trail creation.

The Idaho chapter of BHA will also provide volunteers twice a year to conduct range cleanup and maintenance work. The range will be accessed via Highland Valley Road, near Lucky Peak Reservoir, approximately 25 minutes from downtown Boise.   Click here for directions.
