Join us for a morning of community service, adventure, and camaraderie on Idaho Large Tracts Program property and National Forest Land up scenic Grouse Creek northeast of Sandpoint. We will be picking up several undesignated shooting areas that have seen a little too much love recently. Come ready to pick up trash, cans, shells, and even a car!
The Large Tracts program is a partnership between Idaho Fish and Game and North Idaho Timber Group to provide public access on private land for hunting, fishing, trapping, wildlife viewing, hiking, and recreational travel on open full-sized roads. This upholds traditional use of private forestry lands in our area, but is conditional to the landowner rules being followed. Come help us ensure this program continues to provide us with access to the hunting areas we utilize.
Attendees should bring:
- Sturdy boots
- Gloves
- Water
- Appropriate clothing for north Idaho weather in the mountains
Who can attend: Everyone! This event is open to all members of our community. The trash starts as soon as you step out of your vehicle. You do not need to be a BHA member to attend (but we sure would appreciate it if you were).
Lunch will be provided after the clean up.
