Join us for a hands-on stewardship day at Buckhorn Lake Dam Tailwaters, 680 Buckhorn Dam Rd, Buckhorn, KY 41314-9526 on October 3rd, 2026 afrom 9:00 AM to 1:00 PMas we partner with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to help improve and protect the natural habitat around the lake’s dam tailwater.
Volunteers will work alongside Corps staff to remove autumn olive, an invasive shrub that can crowd out native plants and negatively impact local wildlife habitat. This is a great opportunity to get outside, learn more about invasive species management, and make a direct difference in the health of our public lands.
