On July 21, 2026, parts of Lewis and Upshur counties were affected by torrential rains in a short period of time. Some of these areas are still picking up the pieces. This includes some of the counties' public lands and waters. Stonecoal Lake WMA along the two counties' border was heavily affected. Please come out to help us clean up trash and flood debris along Pringle Fork within the WMA Saturday September 12th, 9:30am-4pm. Please bring boots, gloves, water, and snacks. If you have a truck or trailer, please feel free to bring those as well. Work waivers for the WVDNR will be on site for folks to sign. Feel free to bring your favorite dove or squirrel gun as well to hunt after the clean-up!
