Ever wondered what happens after a mountain lion is harvested? Whether you're hoping to preserve a trophy-quality hide, learn how to process the meat, or simply want to better understand one of Washington's most unique and challenging game animals — this workshop is for you.
Join the Washington Armed Forces Initiative in partnership with Black Creek Taxidermy for a unique, hands-on mountain lion skinning and processing workshop at Lucky Shot Archery in Chehalis. Through a partnership with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, participants will learn from an animal obtained through conflict management efforts — creating an educational opportunity rooted in ethical use and genuine respect for wildlife.
The workshop will be led by an experienced professional taxidermist who will walk participants through every step of the process, from caping and skinning for a trophy-quality hide to quartering and processing the meat for the table.
This is a highly interactive session with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get hands-on with each step. Whether you're preparing for your first mountain lion hunt or looking to sharpen your skills after years in the field, you'll leave with practical, professional knowledge you can put to use immediately.
