Merwin’s Wharf (1785 Merwin Ave, Cleveland OH 44113) at 8 A.M EST on August 29, 2026.
Please, join Ohio BHA and the Native Fish Coalition on a Cuyahoga River clean-up downstream of Merwin’s Wharf. Bring your personal canoe or kayak and help fish some trash out of the river to help the Cuyahoga’s aquatic residents and improve the river’s health. If you’ve been in a slump catching our finned friends, fret not, you will have no problem catching trash on this day!
If you are willing to lend an extra kayak/canoe, then please message us at humahr2018@gmail.com. Also, for those that need a kayak/canoe send us a request so we can coordinate. We cannot guarantee that everyone will have a watercraft, so it is first come first served based on what’s available. Bringing protective gloves and a life jacket is highly recommended.
We will meet at Merwin’s Wharf (1785 Merwin Ave, Cleveland OH 44113) at 8 A.M EST. After the river excursion, join us at the Forest City Brewery to enjoy some drinks, talk about public waters & lands, and form friendships centered on the outdoors. Please come join us and help us leave the Hoga better than we found it!
