Join the Fort Huachuca Armed Forces Initiative for a hands-on habitat stewardship day in the heart of Fort Huachuca's pronghorn habitat. Volunteers will remove several miles of old barbed wire fencing from travel corridors used by pronghorn, mule deer, javelina, and Coues whitetail — opening up critical habitat and improving wildlife connectivity across one of Fort Huachuca's most productive big game landscapes.
This BLM project is coordinated alongside similar efforts being conducted by the U.S. Forest Service in the area, making it part of a broader push to restore movement corridors for the region's iconic wildlife. Come put in honest work for Fort Huachuca and Arizona's public lands and wildlife.
Important: All volunteers must register with the Army Volunteer Management Information System (VMIS) at vmis.armyfamilywebportal.com prior to the event.
