AFI Arizona, Fort Huachuca Shotgun and Fun - Sierra Vista, AZ
Event Start Date: 9/19/2026 8:50 AM
Event End Date: 9/19/2026 11:30 AM
Timezone: MST
Join Arizona AFI for a prepare-to-hunt shotgun skills clinic at the Fort Huachuca Sportsman's Center. This event is designed to build confidence and proficiency with your shotgun before heading afield for Arizona's upland game and waterfowl seasons — and it's a great time in the process.
Participants will shoot both skeet and trap on Fort Huachuca's ranges, with instruction on shooting technique, lead and movement, and how those skills translate directly to hunting pheasant, quail, grouse, chukar, ducks, geese, and small game. Whether you're new to shotgun shooting or looking to sharpen up before the season, this is the clinic for you.

If using a loaner, you will be asked to bring your own ammunition; contact the event leader ahead of time to confirm the correct gauge and shot size.
Base Access: Fort Huachuca is an active military installation. Active duty, Reserve, National Guard, and retiree ID holders and their families may enter with military ID. Visitors can obtain a visitor's pass at the Military Police Station at the Van Deman Gate. Base security may limit access at their discretion.
