Meet up location: 427 Water St, Meeker, CO 81641 at Meeker Town Park (Camping option also available at this location)
Join BHA, USFS, and CPW staff to remove ~1.5 miles of obsolete livestock fence in the Miller Creek area of the Blanco Ranger District clearing a hazard for elk, mule deer, and other wildlife on this winter range.
Work involves cutting and rolling wire, pulling posts, and hauling material to staging areas. Expect steep terrain and physical labor; hand tools provided, no experience needed.
Bring: Long sleeves/pants, sturdy boots, leather gloves, eye protection, sun protection, and plenty of water.
