Join Colorado Armed Forces Initiative for a hands-on habitat stewardship day in the heart of South Park. Volunteers will remove several miles of old barbed wire fencing from elk and mule deer winter concentration areas and migration corridors in the Mosquito Range, opening up critical habitat and improving wildlife connectivity across one of Colorado's most productive big game landscapes.
This BLM project is coordinated alongside similar efforts being conducted by the U.S. Forest Service in the area, making it part of a broader push to restore movement corridors for the region's iconic big game herds. Come put in honest work for Colorado's public lands and wildlife.
Please note: BHA AFI field events are alcohol-free during event hours.
