Let's celebrate National Public Lands Day with some backcountry fishing!
Tennessee and North Carolina BHA members, lets get together and get a backcountry fishing trip in before we are dedicated to fall hunting seasons! The Cataloochee Valley of GSMNP is known for many things, great fishing is one of them, oh yeah and the Elk! This valley has many creeks and is known for its bugs, Browns, Bows and Brooks. It's a place people still enjoy exploring and connecting with such an amazing environment.
We plan on meeting at the Palmer House on Cataloochee Crk Rd at 9:00AM Sat Sept 26. Pack some fishing gear and food and let's spend the day in the creek.
Valid TN fishing licenses can be used on the NC side of the park. There is a pay campground if you want to make reservations prior to event.
